A guy from Deloittes (the administrator) came in at around 11 and told us that we had been made redundant. The stock will be sold off to other companies. The premises actually belongs to the ex-owner of Sound Control, so maybe he'll do something else with it or maybe he'll just sell it.
A couple of other services in Castle St have closed quite recently as well, it's getting rather barren down there.

To be fair, we knew there was a good chance of this a month ago, when news that Sound Control had gone into administration first broke. We were lucky in the sense that, compared to the stores that shut instantly back then, we had a bit of security whilst seeking alternative employment (something I have neglected to do myself however).

Of the stores that had remained open, 5 were shut, including ourselves of course, as well as Dunfermline, Newcastle, Edinburgh (although that one will be bought independently i'm led to believe), and another I can't remember.
About half of the stores have been bought up by Arbiter, who used to distribute Fender, and the others by some other company. We knew a couple of days ago that neither of those companies wanted us, so the writing was very much on the wall.
