MP - "Homosexuality is more vile than child abuse"
Hi, I'm Iris Robinson MP, enjoy my mouth of crooked brown teeth.
![]() Recently, I was reported as saying, during a meeting on risk assessment of sex offenders, that "there can be no viler act, apart from homosexuality, than sexually abusing innocent children." But it's okay, because it was all taken out of context and doesn't suggest at all that I think homosexuality is worse than child abuse lol. I know some of you might think that it sounds like a pretty clear assertion and the only "context" that would vindicate me would be if I had said "is a fucking stupid thing to say" immediately afterwards. So, to set the record straight, here's what I said in context: "It is a privilege to serve under your chairmanship this afternoon, Dr. McCrea. We all agree that few issues arouse as much interest or concern in the community as that of sex offenders. The sentences served and their subsequent placement back in the community cause considerable disquiet among the public. There can be no viler act, apart from homosexuality and sodomy, than sexually abusing innocent children. There must be sufficient confidence that the community has the best possible protection against such perverts, and it is important that there be a mature public debate on the issues, but the security of our citizens must be our overriding priority." So, as you can all see it's just a big misunderstanding. You can read more context here if you like. And here's me setting the record straight with the BBC: BBC NEWS | Northern Ireland | Gay comment inaccurate - Robinson |

your link's broken...
"A Hansard official said after checking audio recordings, she was satisfied the comments were reported accurately" You'd have to just give it up when your clearly in the wrong, back peddling just makes you look even more stupid than the original comments made her out. |
