Rangers v Hearts
Anyone watchin?
It's not a great advert for Scottish football. Hearts are 3rd in the league and they give the ball away so often its a joke. They've given away 3 corners just trying to do passbacks to the keeper! Still 0-0 but if it stays this way i'm sure it won't be too long till Rangers get a penalty. |

I didnt see it because I was at work, unlike some people. Really good save though. So are rangers ahead on goals for? I still dont see a play off tough. It would be egg on the SPL faces after they promised there'd never be another old firm decider.
And you only have to look at the points difference between the top 2 and 3rd to see the difference in class between hearts, dunfermline etc and the old firm. |

Ye, Rangers are ahead by 1 goal scored. So it's a playoff if we both win by the same amount but we score a goal more ie. 2-1 to 1-0 or 3-2 to 2-1 etc. I don't see it happening. Rangers are guarenteed a penalty at home if they're struggling so we need at least 2 before we even start.

Or cider and blackcurrant.
The arrogance of the English media towards us never ceases to amaze me. One Scottish reporter was tryin to explain the earlier scenario which would result in a play-off, and after he did some smart-arse, English, journalist said "So, to put it simply, what your saying is, if Celtic win by a goal more than Rangers it's a play-off", trying to sound intelligent but actually spouting complete nonsense. ![]() |

Yeah, fair enough, refs are not biased. BUT....you have to say, the amount of extremely soft penalties Rangers and Celtic get every year is amazing. O.K. the old argument is that they are in the box more, and tend therefore to get fouled more, but they do get awarded some mighty mighty soft penalties when they "need" them. Looking forward to the finish though. I personally hope Celtic get the bonus goal (dodgy penalty or not) because I think the play-off at Hampden would be crazy!! Possibly harking back to the old Mark Hately and Peter Grant style old firm derbies. They were always really entertaining for the neutral. Anyway, I said months ago United would stay up, and WAYHAY!! We've only gone and done it. Congrats to Ian McCall and the Tangerines!!! Cheers folks

Ha ha! Hearts along with every other spl team outside the old firm are a fucking disgrace! They had about 2 shots on goal and couldnt even string 3 passes together! And miko is right, the old firm attack more so law of averages means they will get more penalties, there can be no doubt over the penalty on sunday as de vries thought he was playing basketball!
