are girls into scruffy sweaty blokes?

just curious as the last two weekends i've been approached in the supermarket by young females with a view to getting to know me better when i've looked a right mess, unshaved, tatty old clothes (the first time the E.N.T. tshirt i had on was older than the girl, who was 16 by the way!) and a bit on the sweaty side.
so if i ever go out on the pull (something i've never done) should i bother getting ready or just go out on my bike for a couple of hours beforehand? is there any point spending hard earned dough on nice clothes and aftershave if all your after is the yeti's second cousin?
insight would be welcome.

slightly scruffy is good. but in a clean way. stubbly + slightly messed up hair. but not sweaty.

yeah i have 2 agree..I like a guy that smells nice but I do like the scruffy look

i haven't got much hair since i set my head on fire a couple of weeks back, so mussing it up ain't an option at the moment

erm, lots of alcohol at night (about 20 bottles of carlseberg between midnight and 3am) then a need for toast in the morning.
i put the gas on but never lit it came back about ten minutes later stuck my head under the grill to see that there was no flames and pressed the bloody button.
hey presto, one fireball!
