To be honest I haven't seen any of the tough enoughs but I did see the 2 YE3 winner's exhibition match on RAW which led to one of my favourite segments all year.
Chris Nowinski runs in and grabs the mic bitching that they were rubbing it in the fact that they won TE and Nowinski doesn't. At this point Tommy Dreamer comes out apparently to chose The Harvard Grad away and cuts a promo about how the TE3 winners had a great opportunity. They were in WWE and on RAW after only 4 months in the business whereas it took Tommy Dreamer over a decade of blood sweat and tears not to mention a buggered back to finally make it to the dance. He welcomes the new recruits but as they turn theirs back on the Innovater of Violence. As they turn back around to face him the 14 minute ECdub champ cracks them with 2 superstiff cane shots to the face before doing his wee chanting with his arms wide out thing. A brilliant angle to remind the Tough Enough lads how luck they've been. From what I actually say in their 5 minutes though it looked as though John and Matt had the basics mastered and when they come back from OVW they could become useful additions much like Nowinski, maven adn the 2 TE2 girls are proving to be. I do hope that this is the last series though as you dont wanna flood the roster with these inexperienced kids. HHH has also voiced his concerns over the series as he thinks it gives away to many of the secrets of the business. I wish I had watched it though as I think it would have been truly interesting to see people like Tazz out of character and how they work out matches. Also I would have liked to have seen the notorious stiff shots that Bob Holly dished out. |

yeah man you should have watched it, it really was good. matt and john do look as though they will be very usefull in the future. john can pull off a shootin star from standing on the mat which i found impressive. bob holly totally went over the top when he had a match with them, he stomped on matt's face and totally bruised him up, in my opinion there was no need for it cos no matter how tough the wrestling actually is, no1 ever gets that sort of treatment in the ring. to his credit tho, he went on to win it. well deserved both of them and i cant wait to see them on the tv.
throughout the series, many wrestling personalities appeared including, Ric Flair, Trish Stratus, Rey Mysterio, JR, Tazz, Chris Benoit, the previous TE 1 & 2 winners and many more. Last edited by Ryan_Equilibrium : 8th September 2003 at 10:22 AM. |

Sounds really good. I saw one episode of TE1 where this really well built guy pulled out because he would have missed his mum too much on the road. Also HHH talked to them before he came back from injury. I might check ebay and see if theres any vids or dvds of any of the series.
