Worms (Xbox Live Arcade)
I'll spare you the predictable "I've got worms" ho ho ho subject line.
![]() Has anyone else downloaded Worms on Xbox Live Arcade yet? I got it last week. Aside from some missing weapons and themes (due to having to fit in the 50MB limit for Xbox Live games), it's a pretty good conversion of Worms Armageddon that was released on the PC sometime around 8 or 9 years ago. Brings back some good memories of playing it with friends, as a student. |

At last a decent game on XBox Live. The last one I downloaded was Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting. I'll need to take a look at Worms. The original was done by Team17 right? Or am i getting the name totally wrong.

I think this version was made by Team17 too.
It's rare nowadays to get games where you can get a bunch of people to play in the same room, and isn't too unfriendly to people who don't play games often. |

ok cool - that's a worms2 based game, the best ones. the original looks pretty bad but was a good game and after 2 they went all 3D and rubbish.
If I had a 360 I'd give you a game. but I don't |

Yeah, I never really got into the original worms. I tried out the demo for the PC, but the perfect accuracy of the AI put me off. I got into it more when one of my friends at uni bought Worms Armageddon, and three of us would play it after class.
I never really bothered with the 3D ones. Everyone that's told me about them has said that they're shit, so I'm not in a hurry to try them. Some games just work better in 2D anyway. |

yeah, i tried the demos for a couple of the 3D ones, but it's not as much fun - much harder to aim and things in 3D and it just worked a lot better in 2D.
The best thing about worms 2 was that you could change almost anything about the game: the sounds, the music, the map, the weapons, most of the rules etc. It was great fun |
