Gears of War movie

Knew this would happen. The movie rights to the GOW film have been sold to the same people that made LOTR movies.

It's a pretty impressive list of people though so perhaps this could be one of the few games that make the successful transition to film from the console. I love this game.

I thought the game wasn't that great (mainly coz I wasn't that good at it), until I started playing it on hardcore difficulty. It's like a different game, it's so good.
I think it'll be quite a difficult film to make, but would like to see it.
Wonder who the cast would be made up of?

I've never seen doom, but i would come and help you do that.
I thought of Marcus's voice, and instantly thought of Ron Perlman. But I think he's getting on a bit now to be rolling about shooting man sized bugs.

Sadly though, I fear that the characters in the game, do lend themselves to be being played by 'pro' wrestlers, due to their bulky nature. If Ewan McGregor bulked up (a lot!), he could play Baird.

lol Ewan McGregor as Baird, now that's something I'd like to see. The pro wrestler thing is so true though, I could see Tripple H being cast after his shitty performance in Blade 3. It's got some serious potential as long as they do it right and cast properly.

A videogame with a shit storyline has no hope of being a good film. Game is great though.

That's a good point. The story line is almost non-existent in GOW.
