MMO racing game - APB rip off?

I wonder if the fact that Real Time Worlds is doing a MMO car game has influenced this guys decision to create an MMO racing game, still, and interesting concept, and Acclaim are on board. Why can't Acclaim just re-do the Turok games, that's what i want to hear.

Doesn't seem like there are many similarities to be honest. APB is online cops and robbers.
