Jon, my suggestion to ya is this..

before the HDD flunks on ya...move all your content, saves and gamer profile over to a memory card. pick one up if ya dont have one. i bought one before i bought my drive as i have a core system. got the important shit saved on it.

cos it sounds like your box could be on it's way out.

they are ment to be prone to fucking up something awful likes.

WTF !!!
ive used a lazer cleaning dvd and hoovered it with a mini hoover to suck up some dust or somthing but its not working....
its well ventilated and i dont get it !!

Not that problem but some games for a while like Oblivion kept crashing on me.
Apparently this was because the memory casque (spelling wrong i know) wasnt whiping all the saved areas and i have to do it manualy (although this is simple enough...just hold down the green X switch on my controller until the game has loaded up.

Funnily enough i have this porn DVD from Buddapest that doesnt work on either my xbox or ps2 but works fine on my 360....strange...

yeah i've had that problem. often. blowing on the disc or inside the tray sometimes works, or just trying to load it several times over. the thing that pisses me off is that it does it to games that have no scratches or even dust on the dvd. a couple of seemingly mint games i tried to play just wouldn't fucking load at all, even after much blowing etc.

once i got this message saying something along the lines of 'system error: contact support.' after turning the thing on and off several times it worked as normal.

a couple of times the power switch flashed red... although it restarted again fine. if it does go out (although not had any problems for, oh, a couple of weeks now) fuck paying more for another one in black with 1337 or whatever written on it pity a decent gaming pc would be like double the price
