New games

I'm wanting to buy some new games to try and get my free time killed, thing is I don't want to buy something thats going to be complete rubbish anyone got any suggestions of what to get because alot of the on-line reviews are mixed and doesn't help when relying on reviews before buying games :O

xbox360 been pretty pish for games since its release but you should give gears of war or hitman blood money a go (i think you can get blood money second hand cheap as tits) also condemned is worth a spin (if you can get it cheap)

GoW is a top game. Condemed is very good as well. Im quite partial to F.E.A.R, Farcry and Call of Duty 2 (its better than 3 and looks awsome on the 360).

Oh, and Oblivion is one of the best RPGs ever.

There are some pretty awesome looking games coming up for release this year, including Halo 3. I'm playing Tomb Raider Legends just now which is ok but not fantastic. Ghost Recon one and two are both excellent games and their multiplayer is shit hot too. Lost Planet is pretty good also I've heard that Viva Pinata is a good one.

Crysis will be out soon, that's looking pretty sweet. Also, I'll be picking up Supreme Commander next payday. Any players here?

Man, I really didn't like F.E.A.R. I mean, the eye candy is very pretty, but became a bit tiresome and gimmicky after a while. It reminded me of Doom 3, which relied on the 'boo' scare tactics all the time and became pretty predictable. In saying that, my first hour of playing the game was totally nerve wracking.

Oblivion, however, is bloody amazing.

haha a couple of my mates bought the downloadable content for it (after i recomended it following a good review), said it was really interesting...

...until i saw them a week later and they told me it was absolute pish

buy gears of war if you haven't got it. call of duty 3 is great fun online, but the single player mode isn't that great. lost planet is fun. via pinata was pretty good but i got bored after a bit.

also, i wouldn't waste money on crackdown, terrible game. just my humble opinion, of course, don't want to offend anyone who worked on it...
