Got on COD4 earlier but it was still being a bit arsey.

ah ok. well i was on tonight only a couple of disconnects.
today i tried to get past the sniper mission on veteran but forgot where it had saved so when a chopper appeared i picked the guy up and ran out to get to it to realise it was dropping enemies and it had been joined by three others doing the same.
needless to say i died quite shortly after that. just dropped the bloke out in the open though and ran

Snipers are the bane of my existence. Nowt worse than getting ready for a kill than when some fucker whips out the Barrett 50 cal and smokes you from half a light year away. This is especially true on Block and Overgrown which are just sniper fests and i generally skip these matches as they are as boring as sin.

However i may not be able to talk as i always use the M-16 with the acog or whateverthefuckitscalled scope so i can snipe of sorts. Any other gun just doesn't do it for me. M-16 has the accuracy and range that i need.

I can snipe perfectly well. I just cant deal with boredom all that easily.

haha yeah thats a badass setup, i use it with clays , sleight of hand and martyrdom, i havent used it in a while as i am trying to get my marksmens for all my guns

i just got the M4 last night , its good , but not on maps like Countdown

It's annoying to be picked off by a sniper, but I love sniping. I fucking love games where you can just hide somewhere and pick people off from a distance, like a real sniper.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, is immense for this, as the terrain is massive, and the range on the sniper rifle is huge.

Halo/Halo 2 on the Blood Gulch and Coagulation levels have to be my personal favourite though, especially since the sniper rifle in Halo isn't an instant hit weapon from a distance, so tactics, and leading your target come into play
more.

i generally use overkill so i can carry sniper rifle and either m4 or p90 for closer combat, frag grenades and steady aim.
have a different setup for different maps.
some maps i'm silenced p90, uav jammer, desert eagle and frag grenades.
best way to deal with snipers is to know where they are likely to be (always watch the kill view and you know where they are) and either snipe them first, get closer and frag them.
