I wanted both as a kid.
Now when I look back I wonder if it was for the right reasons.. i.e it being a quality guitar, rather than the fact kirk hammet, james hetfield and devin townsend used ESPs, and Sepultura used BC Riches. I'm still tempted to get a BC Rich warlock now that i have a bit more money. They're death metal tastic. One with a floyd rose though... I likes me floyd rose tremelos |

I dont rate BC Rich's at all.
I think ESP's are well made guitars but i think both are limited in their uses. i.e. Rock/Metal. You would hardly see someone playing Jazz on a BC Rich would you? However, it would not be so ridiculous watching someone playing jazz on a les paul for example. |

ive got a BC rich warlock, nj series, in satin black finish
i think its a pretty kewl guitar, plays well, but i bought it cos it looks jaggy as hell! i think im gonna get an ESP 4 my next guitar, one with an inverted head, again, cos it looks well jaggy! the only problem i have with guitars is the necks, my BC has a good neck, very quick... n jaggy! |

An ESP. they are better made. But, if your gonna spend loads of money on a guitar, you want one that will last most of your life. can you picture yourself as an old man, sitting with a pipe and slippers, playing hardcore and metal to your grandkids? actually, come to think of it, that would be pretty funny. |

oh fuck come on.....i cant belive bc rich is being compared to a well manufactured guitar company such as ESP.....
ESP would always be my choice above BC RICH but my choice in guitar is gibson so i'm gonna leave this convo ![]() |
