Yeah man I checked that out online, looks like a saucy bitch, nice one.
I want to get a bass for Christmas, but I know arse-all about them. Anyone got any advise what model or series to get? Around £300, I guess just one thats versatile. |

russell man - the p-bass and the j-bass really arent the same... they sound totally different and feel different to play.

I only got to play the jazz for bout 2secs so i never got the full experience Nico my boy
....my bass is shite...had it two years this boxing day...well actually its not the bass more the amp makes it shite...looks nice though covered in stickers,paper,cellotape and pen |

my dream bass: Musicman Sterling bass, fretless fingerboard, pearl blue body with matching painted headstock, black pickguard ... mmm *drools* far too expensive like.. never gonna happen

exactly... i replied to morvens post but for some reason it isnt here anymore?
what i said was a brief history of the reason why fender made the first p-bass, explaining how the fretless double basses only sounded good with master players, which to be honest, most people arent. Fretless basses can sound beautiful, but fretted basses are a far better option for playability, especially when you look at morvens listening to list (and that is in no way an insult)... Dont tell me 'i dont understand', im not as stupid as you think.
