Hmm, there are a few VS100s, most of them have a preamp tube and SS power section, some are all SS. Is it the 1x10 combo?

Id look for something else personally, there are a few nice all valve amp combos that arent much more than that used

Marshall cabinets? I'm interested on aquiring a 1960BV but between all the various cabinets they do have, is the sound between each cabinet fairly significant? Or does the sound produced by them tend to sound really similar?

Didnt think it would have been a 2x10, hmm, in the way of all valve combos i like the wee Peavey classic 30, its 30 watt 1x12" combo, they tend to go for about £200ish, awsome sounding wee amp, would be loud enough for the most gigs if you were micing up, Id think, if it wasnt you could always add a 1x12 or 2x12 extension cabinet.

Dont know about that one in particular, but different speaker cabinets will have a big effect on the sound, so i'd say the sound could be significantly different. Of course it depends on what you class as sigificantly different tho, it will still sound like your guitar going into your amplifier, the speaker cabinet will just have add a different voicing, depending on how it was designed, it could be a fairly flat hi-fi reproduction of the amplifiers tone or it could be a heavily coloured change in tone.

thanks for that. I dropped my tube screamer off of the top of my rig and one of the control knobs have fallen off, or as it looks 'snapped' off, anyone had similar experience and can anyone enlighten to me as how much this will cost and how easy it is to repair?

Shouldn't be expensive, you will get a new pot for cheap. if you can solder, you could prob do it yourself. If not, rainbow could do it.

pods are great for home use, but i wouldnt bother with it for live stuff if youve got a decent head anyway
