surely you notice the difference in sound if you turn up the bass, or the treble, cut the mid etc etc, and graphic equilizers are just the same but on narrower bands, but more conrtols, so theres more overall control. |

dumb question: what EXACTLY is the difference between graphic and parametric?? one of those obvious things I never picked up because it's so obvious that no one needs to explain it...
technical question: how come tone frequency is measured in hz, but so is pitch frequency...? how can that work? does it work that way? am i horribly mistaken? argh! |

erm... eh... well... must... not... reply... in patronising manner... ^_^
you really really can't. a strat copy will have single coil pickups, which sound and act completely different to humbucking pickups (basically two single coils wired together in series to give double output), which les paul type guitars have. Encore do make les paul copies, one of which was my first guitar... could have done worse for £120. otherwise, just search for an amp/od pedal etc. that sounds as big, full, bassy, harmonically rich etc. as possible.
