you really really can't. a strat copy will have single coil pickups, which sound and act completely different to humbucking pickups (basically two single coils wired together in series to give double output), which les paul type guitars have.

Encore do make les paul copies, one of which was my first guitar... could have done worse for £120.

otherwise, just search for an amp/od pedal etc. that sounds as big, full, bassy, harmonically rich etc. as possible.

Im looking at getting a cheapy SG like guitar (just so i have a non bass to play now n again), was thinking about Vintage (just because its gonna be cheap and im not too bothered about how badly it sounds, at least then i could blaim the guitar

) i dont know many other ppl who make SG style guitars (other than gibson and epiphone obviously) but there probably are a fair few that do, anyone have any other ideas?

Im now considering an Epiphone SG - 310, any insight into how much this would cost in rainbow or sound control, or am i gonna have to actually go in and ask?

The RRP's £275, you can get it in the £180-190 range online, but I'm not sure what it costs in the shops.

cheers, saw one go on ebay for £112 (and £20 postage) nearly new, so ill probably get one from there, cheers
