Anyone know where I can buy some solder in town? One of the wires inside my jack plughole thingy on my guitar broke loose. My friend has a soldering iron but no solder.

Or would it be just as easy/cheap to get Sound Control to fix it for me?

How do you tune a floating tremolo from E to B without it taking fucking ages adjusting the thing is there an easier way?

2 guitars, one set up for each tuning.

thing is i use a dropped tuning of B aswell in another band even just changing to a dropped of a tuning fucks the whole thing is there a tecnique to it?

i cannae afford another one just now lol

well i can but i don't want too.

so any help is good help

I'm pretty sure changing tunings like from B to E continually fucks your strings up quickly, so it won't stay in tune so well when you loosen them.
Best to use 2 guitars, it's what I do with my basses.

its not the string that are annoying me its the floating tremelo.

is there a way or a device to enable me to drop tune without having to retune the whole guitar????

just dont do it!

Tuning between E and B is firstly not good for your strings, but more importantly, will make it near impossible to have your guitar accurately intonated. So even if you spend ages on tuning it, its still gonna sound out of tune, isnt it. Buy a guitar and have it set up to play in a dropped B tuning.

I wont even go into using different gauge strings for this ridiculously low tuning, other than saying it is most probably entirely necessary.

is it a floyd rose trem or a standard strat style one?

if its a strat style one, u can make it not float. just take the panel off the back and there will be 2 big screws attached to the spring plate. screw them in. saying that tho, it might work, it might not. never tried to tune to B.

if its a floyd rose, dont do it.

I did see a small thing that can do it, it was on a guitar though and i doubt sold sepetatley.

Plus, there is no way you can tune from B to E. none at all.

Just go half way, standard D or drop C!

i was meaning tuning from c to b i dont want to play in E ever cause its pish
your right about that gadget i seen the guy from coal chamber his guitar has it dont know where the fuck i would get it from tho
