glasgow music shops and scot ads can be good for 2nd hand stuff plus you can try stuff out, wouldnt touch anything off ebay

have you gigged with your crate and if so how does it do, just wondering as i could really do with getting a back up for my SWR and Crate seem like an ok option

and what bass to you play? You gotta remember, his bass didn't come cheap. I know Cal had some trouble getting good tones in the past, dont know if he's got a new type of strings or what though.

Electric Blues are great wee amps. had one for 3 years and used it in pretty much every Errata gig i played and its still going strong. Ashdowns sound great but my only gripe is that they are not as tough as Trace Elliots or that.

Ive got the Mag 300 head now which is killer but as soon as i get the wedge im gonna get the Evo-500w fucker.

Horses for courses and all that. As i say ive only ever had Ashdown amps and granted if i had the cash i would be getting an ampeg rig or a Sunn head but for the time being for me Ashdowns cant be beat.

never played a high priced one but from what ive heard they are not my cup o tea, cheap ones are shite sounding and seem to have a habit of breaking. They dont really have much character to them either in fact they are just like trace eliots (rip)
Take it your SWR is still sitting in rainbow music that ll teach you to let grassi (the destroyer of bass amps) to borrow your very nice amp
