NOFX and Blink 182. I listened to 'punk' bands before them but it was them who influenced me to start music, back then i was a bassist and both of them had really cool bassists (in my opinion) I then started drumming cos my band could never find a drummer and one of the guitar players took up bass. The rest is history. My fave drummers at the moment are matt from skirtbox, charlie from anthrax and a bunch of power/thrash metal. I recently got a double bass pedal so im gonna use that to fuck in AOAS's new songs, it'll be a bit more interesting than just playing the gallop beat

I wouldn't say a particular band or anything inspired me to play bass. I'd just always wanted to play guitar and being young and naive i thought bass would be much easier cos it had less strings. But once i'd started playing that was it, there was no going back and i was hooked, bass kicks ass! But now as a bass player i'm influenced largely by flea from the chillis cos he's fucking amazing and there's also a lot of punk bassists that inspire me cos they can play so fuckin outrageously fast - fat mike is the one that most springs to mind.

deff The Jimi Hendrix Experiance..*points* Mitch Mitchel was just such a shit hot drummer...then i kinda got lazy on the drums..then heard metallica..master of puppets..used to think Lars was the best drummer ever at the time
*i was young and foolish* but drummers which are influencing me today are pretty much Paul Bostaph, Igor Cavalera, Dave Lombardo to name a few. |

Master of puppets is possibly the finest metal album ever so its good you learned guitar to play on that rather than korn or sum 41 like most folk do

i started playing piano because i was forced too...
then when i was about 13 i met a guy called andrew who i remain friends with to this day... he played acoustic guitar beautifully and that inspired me pickup the guitar... not turned back since...
