maybe investing in singing lessons could be a plan? only advice i could probably give is to make sure you practice breathing exercises and stuff cos they really help your voice a lot and being able to breathe at the correct parts in a song is really important so your voice doesnt go fucked halfway thru a song or whatever. And don't force it cos it's always obvious when someone is trying to force a singing voice. And lotsa practice, just sing wherever, in the shower, in your room, every little bit counts. I also recommend using ear plugs cos that gives you a better idea of how you actually sound when you sing cos you can hear yourself properly. You may think your voice sounds a certain way but you'd be surprised how different it is when you can actually hear yourself properly. First time i sung into a mic i was like "fuck i didnt think my voice sounded like that!" Hehe.

I think the best thing to do is just practice, and practice a lot. Don't give a toss about what the neighbours say - if they come around, say you're listening to Busted or something.
But yeah, I think everyone's got a voice, some just need more time to mature and become stronger... I mean, when I say 'voice', it's like some people will think it is a good voice, and others will think is shit. The people who think you are 'born with a good voice' are the people who feature on shows like Pop Idol. Everyone has a voice to use, so use it in the way that's best for you - it's gonna appeal to someone, because everyone's voice is different. Last edited by Rossie : 19th August 2003 at 06:10 PM. |

Singing lessons , pfft who needs them, i didnt get any singing lessons and i can hit notes juts as good as anyone who has had them. I think it just came natural to me, it wasnt the best i could do for a while but a few months back i started hitting alot higher and more powerfull notes(just practicing alot in my loft), plus a record my voice and listen alot to where things are going wrong, and adding some screems here and there , hehehe
