Best Death Metal Guitarists Poll!!!!
ok we have had a best death metal drummers poll, now it is time for best death metal guitarists.

I'm torn between about five of them but i had to go for James Murphy because he is a fookin' Legend

John, that wisnae nice! My two favourites were obviously James for being a Thrash legend and Shannon Hamm for the unique sounding solos on the Control Denied album. So Shannon got the vote!

i'm not massively into the genre, but he plays lead on Testaments "The Gathering" so i dont need much else to persuade me

Nah man, i think we all know that Hanneman is a better guitarist than King but to be honest neither have ever done anything that have impressed me that much guitar-wise. It all pretty straight forward simple stuff. Don't get me wrong i love Slayer but i think they are far from being in a best guitarist poll.

Feel free to start a thrash poll and add 'em though.

These guitarists don't come close to Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eddie Van Halen, Nuno Bettencourt or John Petrucci.

yeah but it was a death metal guitarist poll, most lead guitarists can't play rhythm very well anyway
