Graded guitar tab

Anybody know any sites I can get Grade 8 guitar tab from? i'm thinking of sitting my grade exam sometime and what i've looked at of 8 is about my level.

Looks better than all those tabs made in notepad. All I need is the patience to bloody sit down and learn someone elses tune!

Since i don't know you, this could well be a silly thing to say, but do you know that you need to know all the theory when you sit a grade exam as well as the playing?

That's a good point. Don't they expect you to read "proper" music notation and not tab?....

They do indeed. Or tablature that has the notation right next to it. And i think there's a theory test for each grade

Best thing to do is buy a book with a CD from a music shop. That will have notation and tab together and the CD will have the track and backing track so you can practise. They tend to be quite easy as well

Yeah cheers miko I know theres a theory exam as well, i'm plannig to swat up on that stuff too. Actually my mum was telling that grade 8 theoory is equivelant to O level (standard grade right?) and since I have a B at higer i should be ok. However i've forgotten a hell of a lot of stuff from then.
On the rock school website it said tab was ok, but i think i'm gonna get back to reading sheet music anyway, i used to be able to and just let it slip

i got a b too. im gonna do grade 8 or 7 soon, i have to be 7 by the end of the year, so i better! the rockschool books, are they available in grade 8 form?cos i did 5 for higher, it was a piece of piss.

apparently rock school dont do a grade 7 exam (fuck knows why).

I did rock school but because voice was my first instrument, i only had to do Grade 4! You could play that stuff behind your head

can any1 recommend any person/institution who offer guitar lessons for a decent price. thanks.

They're books that have the tab and the notation side by side cos the examiner needs the notation and you need the tab! They come in different grades but apparently only go up to Grade 6. They're basically useful for school/college where you have to play guitar at a certain grade and at least this way you're certain that's it's difficult enough.

I have no idea about the lessons cos i've never had any and i live in Glasgow. Sorry!

they go up to 8, but there is no 7. for some unbeknownst reason, given thats the one everyone seems to want.
