This will be awesome!!!
I went to the one in Inverness too (I'm guessing it was at the Inverness one where you saw shutter as they're from Invershneckie.) it was sweeeet!! Though I had to run between the three venues to get to the next one in time to see the next band I wanted, that was the only downside.... oh yeh and it was mobbed. It is a shame more bands aren't getting the chance, but end of the day only so many could be chosen and I guess its good as it'll be totally different stuff from what I'd go out of my way/pay to see so for me it will be a chance to experience new sounds. Anyway, I think its gonna pwn. |

Has anyone seen the promo material for this event yet? If so did it have the UGS logo on it?

Might go and check out Lafaro, I like the stuff I heard on the Myspace.
Avoid Tenement like the fuckin plague though, if its the same band I saw in the Westport last year, its really old dudes playing Britpoppy shite! |

I had a good discussion today at one of the workshops. I was on the panel on Guerilla Marketting and made some contacts and I learnt a fair bit from the other panelists. Was good to meet Jim Gellatly too.

Lafaro were great. Wish they hadn't been on a bill with a load of lad rock local bands though. I've never seen so many of the "DID YOU SPILL MY PINT!!!???" brigade in one pub
Saw Amber in the Art Bar before we had to move on. Was good, wish folk would talk quieter though. Mellow, chilled acoustic stuff and you hear someone at the bar going on about their daughters school |
