Thumbs up Brain Age

My flatmate got this yesterday for DS.

It's quite bizarre but really, really good fun. Those crazy Japanese mofo's have done it again. Where do Nintendo get their ideas?

I have this on its way from Japan, cant wait to get it. I've heard alot about this game. Apparently is created around the research of a Japanese psychologist.

It's even got Sodoku built into it so that'll be handy for long train journeys.

Is it all done through the touch screen?

Yeah its 90% touch-screen, 10% voice recognition.

Pretty cool.

I've been playing this a bit now and the one thing that lets it down is its stupidity at always misinterpreting when you say the word 'blue' and also when you are doing the world memory test and trying to write the words down, you spend more time correcting it that actually doing to tasks that the extra time you spend correcting its mistakes adds to your brain age giving you an even less accurate estimation.

Bah! Still, it's a fun game to play 10 minutes a day when it's working fine.

Yeah I got this the other day.

Some of the handwriting recognition can be frustrating (I WROTE 9 NOT 4 AAGH) but apart from that it's a cool idea. I've not had any problems with the speech recognition so far, I can totally kick ass in the word/colour test.
