I gots my Wii for Christmas and have been playing Wii Sports, Super Monkey Ball and Zelda thoughout the week. I've always been really rubbish at Zelda but I'm reeeeally enjoying this one and the controls are great (I'd been a bit wary of the new system but simply swiping the wiimote to slash and literally pointing at the screen to aim your slingshot, it's really intuitive). Though I'm not really very far on yet...

It's been a big hit at our flat, especially Wii Sports. Zelda is brilliant as expected & Rayman, despite his previous form, is a lot of fun, especially the rhythm games and the on-rails shoot-em-up bits.
We also got Red Steel, which for the first few gos seemed impossible to control, but last night it just kind of clicked and i'm really enjoying it now. Hopefully Nintendo will get some more good Virtual Console games up soon, because not much really tickles my fancy at the moment. Also, i'd recommend anyone with a normal TV to get the RGB Scart cable, because it makes a massive difference. ![]() |

i played a wii today, no bad at all!
wii sports was ok for the boxing and golf, though the rest was pretty rubbish and it got repetitive as fuck after a bit. Rayman was........horrible! ugh! think the console might be no bad though. |

I might get one at some point, having played a friends, it's pretty good.
Also, I saw the list of games for the virtual console thing, and it looks quality. I think I'll wait until more games are out for it, and it's easier to find though. |

aye,its a great idea and something that will surely prove popular. but im sure i saw somewhere n64 games are £8??? and snes games a fiver? i would have thought snes games would go for about £2, and maybe £4 for n64 games....its pretty shit when you can download roms for free. fair enough, emulators tend to be a bit glitchy at times but £8 for games i can download free in about 5 minutes? naw. i like 360s classic arcade games, sf2 and doom are a good laugh. dunno how much they are thouhg! |

Yeah, I'm tempted to get Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting from Xbox live arcade, because it's my all time favourite version of Street Fighter II.
I've got Street Fighter anniversary collection though, so it's a bit of a waste of meney. On the other hand, the anniversary collection doesn't let you play the different versions of Street Fighter as they were originally, if you choose hyper fighting, then you still have to fight against Super Street Fighter characters. Yeah I reckon those games are a bit expensive, but I don't think it's that much of a difference from the prices on Live. |

You need to try the Wii though, honestly in this case it's a good move. They also do the standard SNES style control pads too incase you want something a little more conventional.
Oh, i've got Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting from XBox Live. It's tough.
