You guys should all stop being silly and wait till after the christmas rush, cos then they will be more readily avaliable. I mean, there are limited supplies because nintendo don;t release as many consoles as they should/could, to maximise the same for christmas when they do finally become avaliable...

so don;t be a silly bugger and wait till after xmas.

Psst. Nintendo are faking it. They'll well be able to ramp up the supply. They're just saying they'll have problems so that everybody goes crazy and buys up all the stock the minute they get a shipment in.

That's my theory anyway.

You build more demand for a product by deliberately manufacturing shortages and increasing the hype. If there's a news report that says "Wiis are going to be impossible to find this Christmas! Expect to be dissapointed!" chances are that a whole load of people are going rush around trying to find one even if they weren't even planning on buying one in the first place.

It was like a couple of years ago when Sony said that there was a huge shipment of PS2s trapped in the Suez Canal or something and that they might not get here in time for Christmas. Just strikes me as bullshit.

Toys R Us tends to put ours on sale on Saturday mornings, so best bet is to phone every Friday evening. I'm sure you'll get one!

I'm kind of glad I bought my xbox 360 back when I thought the Wii was extremely gimmicky. Actually, I'm just glad I bought my 360.
