How to have a Wii

I'm thinking of getting a Wii but everywhere I've looked so far say I have to pre-order. Where is the fastest / most reliable place to pre-order to make sure I get it before christmas?

Wii are extremely thin on the ground still, i work in currys and we wont be getting them in again untill next year so i hear

Its all rubbish. You will get a Wii before christmas as long as your not lazy and pop into town to get one soon as they are available.
I work in Gamestation, and the weekend was insane. One of the papers said there would be a major shortage of Wii's, so people bought it and were daft enough to queue outside of Toys 'r' us from 7pm till the next morning. We had 40 or so in stock when these people were queing.

Give us a call: 01382 204330 in a week or so. Hopefully we'll have information on our next allocation.

i prefer gamstation to game, some games might be a bit dearer but it just feels like a better shop

Argos in Arbroath has had at least two in stock perpetually for the last month.

Have you ever noticed how funny it smells in that shop? There's just something about it.
It does seem to be better for games, but I rarely want to spend longer than I have to there.

haha, I'm not going to defend it. Our shop's fucking stinking!
It's only just become worse after the new floor was put it, it smells disgusting. And to top it off, we have the scum of Dundee coming in regularly and adding their own unique un-washed aroma's into the mix. Braw.

I checked online yesterday (because the Wii is for me as well) and it said they were out of stock.

the stock manager probably bought the last one! Im sure you can reserve one? or speak nicely to them and get them to bring one from another store for you

Yeah, my pal Graham bought the last one the other day for his g/f's christmas I think. I'll check on Saturday for you, but I've never seen a weekend when we didn't have one or two wii's on the shelves. ON second thoughts they might have been reserved and would come up OOS.

I just swapped a shot of the 360 for my big sisters Wii.
(yes, im aware that sounds sick but im not going to change it!)

deffinatly a new and inventive way to game. Finally the missus and i are on an even par when it comes to gaming with this console.

She now wants one for christmas but im guessing this might be tricky to pull off.

We've not heard anything back from Gamestation yet, and everywhere I check online is always out of stock. We're using an online stock locator to alert us when a shop gets some wiis but they sell out in 2 or 3 minutes. I've got one on special order with HMV but I'm not holding my breath.
