Talking 3Dmark 06

hahahaha

I just ran 3Dmark 06 on my machine to see what results I would get. I just have a shitty X1300 card but the rest of the system is okay. Obviously 3D06 is going to be the benchmark for cards for the next couple of years so it shags current cards up the arse!!

here is my score using AMD 64 X2 3800+ | 2GB | X1300

3DMarks = 935
SM2.0 = 313
HDR/SM3.0 = 348
CPU = 1478

I'm really chuffed with the CPU mark as that is pretty bloody high compared to some of the results I've seen from other systems. The GFX card results though.................AHAHAHAHA

can't wait to re-do the tests with the X1800 XT on Friday!!

3DMarks = 6063
SM2.0 = 3354
HDR/SM3.0 = 3299

that's not my problem, I keep getting corrupted files and installs that don't work.

I'm on a T3 connection.

ah, my download worked first time.

my problem is my net connection which is borked at the moment. I am trying to trace the route of the problem and it is edging ever closer to telewest!

bearing in mind your friend has 2 7800s, that's not a bad result.

and yes, your CPU is better than mine.

I was discussing that with him, and apparently 3Dmark doesn't quite get it right when running cards in SLi or Crossover mode. By rights he should be nearer the 10,000 mark.

Futuremark are working on a patch to rectify it.

My new card should be here tomorrowwwwww.

i doubt he'd be at 10000, the 7800GTX is slightly worse than the X1800XT and SLi doesn't strictly double performance. and he an I both have 2GB, 3700+
