There are a few differences which I have found to be positive but for the moment I'm going out. I'll post when I get back!
I'm Chivas USA in the MLS. 2 games in, 2 games lost, no goals scored. Didn't understand the draft thing so I missed out cos my squad was full I wanted Renmya or Blanca. ![]() |

I didn't even realise this had come out until today! I just got my £400 tax rebate back today (fate?) so I think it will be getting purchased tomorrow. It'll destroy my degree, but oh well.

Matches run a lot smoother now, you dont have to pause the game to sub, whereas with '07 you could make tactical changes but not subs in this way. Makes it a whole lot better.
Pre and post match analysis is a winner for me. I rally like seeing the analysis, even if it is quite limited. I'm playing in the A-league in Australia and it's pretty fun. I would recomment it to someone who is new to the FM world as it is quite easy but you have to pay close attention to things like youths, foreign players and wages as these things are either limited or capped. Plus you have to learn how to use subs properly as the regular league play only allows 4 subs. I've just started my 2nd year as Sydney FC. The board expected me to win the league (regular season) in the first year and still be challenging for the title in the following year. I was given a 2 year deal initially. The trasfer budget is pitiful, but the wage cap ensures that you can't spend too much anyway. My budget was around £600,000 (up on the basic £200,000 cos I said I was gonna win everything) and the wage is capped all across the leage at £14,575 per week (exculding one key player who can earn up to £2,500pw at my club). I finished runner up in the pre-season cup, runner up in the league and won the champions cup which prompted this: ![]() ![]() ![]() It was brilliant!!! Overall, the standard of the players is quite low, maybe on par with 1st/2nd division Scottish football, but it is fun despite the weird rules. The wage cap is frustrating and only having 4 foreign players is also frustrating! |

i heard the game engine was buggy?
players stopping during one on ones with keepers players running into invisiible walls defenders backing off advancing midfielders until they shoot according to SI they have a patch due out soon to correct the last one.... |

I thought that was just for the demo. Certainly when I was playing that even if you had closing down set to max they would pretty much run away from midfielders!! I assume they've fixed it for release..

I've had a lot of the players backing off but I figured that was because my players were pish cos it happened quite a few times in my favour too.

That might also be the case with at least one goal in every other game being under dubious circumstances and you have to tell the press you thought the ref was wrong/right.
