the fringe

who's going this year and to what?

i'm seeing three shows on the first sunday then going back two weeks later for another two shows.
seeing mark little again as he was hilarious last time i saw him.
a version of terry pratchett's masquerade
jimeon (dunno who he is, according to my other half we thought he was funny when we saw him on tv last year)
free and easy (a free stand up show as far as i remember)
the little howard appeal. last year we saw big howard, little howard and it was amazing and hilarious. basically little howard is a cartoon creation of big howard and is permanently six years old. little howard is projected onto a screen, a couch and even drives a wee car across the stage and goes on a date with a member of the audience by appearing in a laptop. i cannot recommend this show enough. here's their website: http://www.littlehoward.co.uk/

a guy I work with is an exchange student from montreal. he's written a play and it's on at the guilded balloon... I think it's called "phone play" or something to that end. his name is evan placey.
It won 5 awards at the ontario theatre festival, so it should be good.... maybe not... but I'm going regardless...

Might go and see something after the pixies finish or do you have to be 18 to get into these places?
