NME in shock good free cd shocker!
sorry but the free cd with the nme this week is absolutely brilliant. HONESTLY! very odd indeed, there is a song called "pablo picasso" which is such a sleazy low fi rock song, some classic velvet underground, a song by the yeah yeah yeahs, which is surprisingly good. its just a right little pandoras box.

the nme have always had a nasty habit of being wankers, and so put out wankerish cds, trying to put the likes of ash and unkle and usually whatever rap crap is about at the time, the reason this cd is good is because the strokes chose the tracks, i aint the biggest strokes fan but they have pretty good taste.

the nme is terrible, its narrow minded opinions are flagrantly displayed through their blind support for certain bands and their similar villification of others, i was surprised at the cd because, although it is still flying the flags of the nme favourite bum chums ie the strokes, brmc, kings of leon, it has included tracks from their lesser known influences, showing some form of thinking has gone into the cd as oppossed to just throwing together a cd of mixed genres to appeal to everyone!!!!!

NME sucks by the fact that it's a magazine that goes with the fashion...like 'this band's gonna be the next <insert last year's big band>' - then two months down the line they disappear like a fart in the wind and the NME decides that they're the worst thing in existence.
