Alot of the best lyrics I've heard/read have been written by Kurt Cobain. He's a lyrical genuis well IMO. And another really good song writer is Eminem. Although I don't listen to him he is a really clever guy.

Have to disagree with you on Eminem. Yes, he can rhme words that are seemingly impossible to, but for all the rest, he's absolute pish. His stuff is really formulaic..always releases a "funny" song taking hte piss out of whatever/whoever is in the celbrity spotlight, then an angry rap, then something halfway between.
