been waiting patiently to get this and boy was it worth it. its absolutely blistering, in every sense of the word. sometimes feels as though the music is leaping out of the speakers and kicking fuck out of you, kicking sense into you, kicking the meaning behind the fury right into your skull.
sometimes i feel as though i`ve never heard a band that sums up how i feel about certain aspects of living today more than MLIW. it`s like i could`nt have said it better myself. i listen to a lot of bands but not all of them truly have an impact on my thoughts and motivations. just a select few.
its hard to name stand out moments from this album coz its just rammed full of them bu t a few songs really hit me hard when listening the 1st time. `martin atchet` draws its inspiration from the 90's cult graphic novel SKIN, the tale of a deformed "thalidomide skinhead" and his vengeance on the pharmaceutical company that crippled him from birth, and its fucking AMAZING. so powerfull. `John and Jimmy` and `d.e.a.d.r.a.m.o.n.e.s` are also crushing.
i cant say enough good things about this band, having seem them twice and talked to them it`s refreshing to know that they mean what they say on the lyric sheet. i`ve got no problem at all with labelling this a modern day hardcore masterpiece from the first note to the last.

i didnt want this to sound like a review but i didnt want to just say - `amazing, get it now.`

i really dislike this band and they way they have hoodwinked the kids. they have the whole holier than thou attitude about being 'core but they are money grabbing fukks. which is a shame.

anyways, still not a patch on Speak 714's "Knee Deep in Guilt"

i`ve never read or heard anything about them that could fall into that accusation.

maybe our interpretations of the band differ. (im guessing your dislike is to do with labels and touring buddies, etc. maybe even the music. i cant argue with that) but in them i can see everything that i value from a band these days.

any record label making a profit from doing buisness can be seen as corporate. deathwish aint exactely gonna be manufacturing the next Busted.

booking agents, i dont have much time for but when i saw MLIW i paid £4 the first time and £10 the 2nd, (which i grudged but it was Converge`s show, fuck them i say) after the show i was`nt complaining.

fact of the matter is, this band excite me. make me wanna make music. and untill they offend me with their way of conducting themselves and their attitude i cant see any of your points changing my mind.

well, i just have higher expectations when the term "hardcore" is bandied around.
