While just in our infancy, it is our aim to work in a collectivist way to promote shows, book tours and release records within the Scottish underground scene. This is our first sampler CD. Thanks to all the bands for donating tracks. For more information or to get in touch, please visit www.myspace.com/cowpunkrecordingsuk 15 Minutes are a two-piece acoustic folk punk band from Dundee. Raw and passionate, comparisons have been made to early Plan-It-X-era Against Me! Both tracks are taken from their current ‘We’re Done For’ EP. Look out for their upcoming split EP with Tragical History Tour on Make-That-A-Take Records. For more information, please visit www.quarter-of-an-hour.co.uk The Try Hards are a four-piece party punk rock band based in Dundee. ‘Take A Drink’ is taken from the ‘…A Good Night Out EP’ on Misguided Records. ‘You Don’t Understand’ will also feature on the upcoming split with The Upstarts and The Planeteers, out soon on Good For Nothing? Records. www.tryhards.co.uk Fall By Faith are a three-piece from the Blairgowrie area. They are currently recording their first EP and it is with great pleasure that we present to you the first fruits of their labour. Watch out for their upcoming debut on Make-That-A-Take and keep your eyes peeled for a number of live dates coming soon. Go to www.myspace.com/fallbyfaith for more information. Tragical History Tour is a one-man solo acoustic project peddling passionate folk punk as a means of confession. Both tracks have been exclusively recorded for Make-That-A-Take. Look out for the upcoming split EP with 15 Minutes and debut full length on Root Chord, which is likely to appear later in the summer. www.myspace.com/tragicalhistorytourmusic The Alpacinos are arguably the best punk band in the country. Having played in excess of 300 shows across the UK, they are a finely tuned rock monster who never fail to bring the party with them. ‘Sick Of Being Nothing’ is taken from their ‘This Bag Is Not A toy’ EP, out now on Gadafti Inc. Check out www.myspace.com/thealpacinos for more information and dates. The Poisoning bring the darkness with their fiery and ferocious Glasgow goth-punk/hardcore. Influenced by the likes of the Nerve Agents, Balzac and Tiger Army, The Poisoning get satanic with their track ‘Blessed By The Gods Below’, from the ‘Trinity Split’ on Room 21 Records. www.myspace.com/poisoning The Conviction are central Scotland’s wizards of oi! Based in Stirling, The Conviction crank out balls-to-the-wall ass-kicking punk rock’n’roll. Having settled their line-up, they can be seen destroying venues across the country. Peddling their band of Murder Mystery Punk, these guys kill live! Go to www.myspace.com/murdermysterypunk for live dates and more sounds. The Upstarts are just that, Aberdeen-based political ska-punk upstarts. Taking influence from the likes of Leftover Crack and Against All Authority, these guys are high-energy high-jinks. ‘Off The Ground’ from ‘Scan This’, out now on GFN? Records. Split with The Try Hards coming soon. www.myspace.com/theeupstarts |
