Pearl Jam - Pearl Jam

Ok, so this has leaked as well. It's out on May 2nd.

It's pretty impressive, although they're one of my all time faves. I can't wait for the rumoured UK tour later in the year, I've not seen them.

Anyone else heard it? The track 'Gone' is a stunner. Much better than the last album in my opinion

Pearl Jam will be playing Scotland in 2007. This is straight from the mouth of Professor Gossard, to whom a friend of mine found himself chatting last week.

hmmm...saw them at the SECC in '00 and wasn't that impressed. Still the Vandals supported and they were good! I always end up liking a few songs on each album but to my mind they've never topped their first two albums.

That's probably true but not surprising given that those albums must be regarded as two of the all-time greats. The later albums do have their own charm though.

No Code was pretty damn good IMO.

Man I would love to see Pearl Jam again. I thought the SECC gig, as far as SECC gigs go, was pretty moving.

i absolutely loved the SECC gig. but that was probably coz i love PJ so much and was dying to see them more than anything. i did think it was amazing though and i was pretty close to crying when they played ledbetter (favourite song ever) and i realised it was over.

the first 2 albums are pretty unbeatable but i love all the albums. Yield and Vitalogy are to me, stunning works of art, the last 2 have both kept me captivated for ages after getting them and im pretty sure the new one will do the same.

the official bootlegs have kept me going for years but it will be brilliant to get some new stuff and hopefully see em again. Dublin tickets go on sale on Sat. alarm set!!

Totally. Vitalogy is such a good album made during a strange phase for the band, and the packaging and booklet etc. is just great. Work of art is the correct phrase. All that mad pseduo-medical stuff about self-pollution etc. Class.

Vitalogy was also finally a chance to hear "Corduroy" recorded - it had been going around for ages on all the bootlegs and I loved it so much.
