Sick Of It All tribute record
Off Punk news:
http://www.punknews.org/article/20428 "This year marks Sick Of It All's 20th year as a band, and in honor of their accomplishments, a tribute album entitled Our Impact Will Be Felt, has been announced. Although a final tracklisting has not been confirmed, the prelimary artists and contributions boast some of the heavy-hitters in the punk and hardcore scenes, including the Bouncing Souls, Bleeding Through, Stretch Arm Strong, Bane and many more. The album has a release date set for January 23rd, 2007, via Abacus Recordings. Here's what a few of the contributing artists had to say about Sick Of It All: Everything they do is an inspiration. They have been together during three different decades -- not for the money, the glory, or the fame, but for the love and spirit of the music. There is no other band that has captured the true heart of hardcore like Sick Of It All. - Brandan Schieppati - Bleeding Through (Sick Of It All) shaped the way I write songs which is still present to this day. It's a complete honor to be a part of this tribute. - Joe Principe - Rise Against Our Impact Will Be Felt (not final tracklisting, more tba) Bane "We Stand Alone" Bleeding Through "The Truth" Bouncing Souls "Good Lookin' Out" Hatebreed "Shut Me Out" Himsa "Maladjusted" Ignite "Cease Fire" Kill Your Idols "Friends Like You" Madball "Give Respect" Most Precious Blood "Alone" Napalm Death "Who Sets The Rules" Pennywise "My Life" Rise Against "Built To Last" Sepultura "Scratch The Surface" Stretch Armstrong "Busted" Suicide Machines "Goatless" Unearth "Clobberin Time/What's Going On" Walls Of Jericho "Us Vs. Them" Might be interesting, some great bands doing great songs. Napalm Death doing "Who Sets The Rules"? Oh aye! |

yeah there was a sticker on the cover of the album saying something about it being a SOIA cover
better than their Black Flag cover anyways (which is fairly decent itself...) |

Ive known about this CD for almost a year now, im still disappointed the WoJ are doing Us vs Them
However, Ignite doing Cease Fire, whoar! Thats one of my favourite SOIA songs of all time, and, Ignite doing it all, including the awsome intro to that song, will just be awsome Im really looking forward to it ! (goes away to download rise against cover) |

I'm semi looking forward to this, but I can almost garuntee that this will be disapointing. It'll be Black Flag's all over again.
