Three essential albums to check out..

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92
Venetian Snares - Cavalcade Of Glee and Dadaist Happy Hardcore Pom-Poms
Squarepusher - Feed Me Weird Things

I can vouch that Mike's list is top notch too.

Aside from those already mentioned, I've looked through my library, so in alphabetical order no less;

Autechre (listen to this as loud as you can)
Biosphere
Bogdan Raczynski
Christ
Einóma
Fennesz
Four tet
Michael Santos
Michaela Melian
Ø (also known as Mika Vainio)
Ochre
Pole
Reporter (from Dundee)
Susumu Yokota
Traject

From your list at the top, I would recomend Susumu Yokota, and Fennesz as good staring points.
I'm afraid I'm too lazy to find all the myspace adresses for most of these lot, but if you go to www.myspace.com/myvatn, you'll find most of them are my friends.

Susumu Yokota (Grinning Cat, Sakura)
Reporter
Squarepusher
Aphex Twin
Boards of Canada (Music has the right to children)

I have music by those acts also. Very good indeed. I listened to Reporter during the Radio One big weekend in Dundee and loved his stuff but haven't been able to get a copy of any of it. I tried to grab one at the gig but missed out.

Hmm that might be because he gave me the last copy for nothing!
His albums are out of stock here Fence Records / Artists

But he has done other things on the De-fence label.

Benbecula Records - Modern Music from Scotland is a good scottish label that has a lot of different electronic music.

I forgot about M83, "Dead Cities..." is the place to start. We got asked to support them one time...

Barbara Morgenstern is also excellent, try the albums "Nichts Muss" or "The Grass Is Always Greener".

How about a bit of Brian Eno?

Other things to consider

Nathan Fake
The Album Leaf
Dntel

leafcutter john
Alejandra & Aeron
Lucky Dragons
Bobby Birdman
Eats Tapes
EBB
Hooliganship
Judith Juillerat
Juana Molina
Kixly
Masha Qrella
Powdered Wigs
OMFO

Third Eye Foundation

just off the top of my head.

I think electronic music is the most exciting genre around. It's so varied, ranging from the full on almost drill and bass of Venetian Snares to the soft ambience of Alejandra & Aeron to the arch pop of Simon Bookish to the outright noise of Kylie Minoise to the J-Pop sampladelica of Doddodo to the cartoon 200bpm entertainment assault that is Gay Against You...... the list goes on and on and on.

By comparison 4 boys with guitars just doesn't cut it.
