The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath

Anyone heard this yet?

Once I've got my college work out of the way (next week) I'm gonna put a review up for the site. I personally think overall, it is the best album they have done after Deloused in the Comatorium. Maybe it's just bias but Deloused... is the best by far, but followed by this. The last one had brilliant moments. Day of The Baphomets is a total cracker of a song all the way through but some of the other tracks are really boring with good bits intertwined.

The Bedlam in Goliath has too many good tracks for me to single out a favourite track but the ones which are sticking out at the moment are Wax Simulacra, Goliath, Abernikula, Ouroboros and Conjugal Burns. hahaha, that's 6 out of the 12 tracks on the cd!

Anyway, if your a fan of the mars volta it's really good, much better than amputechture anyway and the drums at some points are total beasting!

John Theodor, The drummer who recorded everything upto this one was "fired" and the new drummer Blake Fleming is a total beast. I prefer Theodore's attacking style because it sometimes seems like Fielding can only sound brilliant when he is spazzing out but thats just me.
