Ah well, I thought you'd have made more of a fuss, lol.
This week oi have been mostly listening to: Lightning Bolt - Earthly Delights A bloody racket but unlike most 'noise rock' it's a lot of fun too. Last edited by My First Kev; 20th November 2009 at 02:40 PM. |

Mutiny on the Bounty's recent effort Danger Mouth is jaw droppingly good upon first listen. much the same as the first, its kinda like a tighter, noodly and fun (as opposed to the miserable gits they were) at the drive in.
they kicked ass in the westport bar |

Apparently so
I must say, Pearl Jam fans that haven't heard the new album should check it out. They've been patchy at best in recent years but the Vedder solo album and now this, it seems like they've found new energy. I've been really enjoying it and it's probably near the top of some sort of Best of 09 list for me. |

Has anyone mentioned Bill Callahan's Sometimes I Wish We Were an Eagle? I did a search but couldn't find anything. Just discovered this album (after many people saying I had to check it out) and was not disappointed. It's lovely.

Have just been listening to it! It's good, but I only got it this week so it was too late to get a mention from me for 2009. I'm not sure if it's better than the best (Smog) stuff, it's different though - more polished.

I like 'Supper', and 'A River Ain't Too Much To Love' (the final Smog album) is pretty good too. 'Knock Knock' has "Cold Blooded Old Times" so is immediately great. It's quite a while since I listened to most of the albums, so can't be very much more helpful I'm afraid.
