The Complete Stone Roses - Doghouse

Review by Degze

At the doghouse for "the complete stone roses" The night kicked off with suport from local band Northin Remady,me thinks? The youthfull band played a string of catchy songs, which where very tight indeed! all very good on thier instraments, the only flaw i would say that they could have smiled a bit more! But otherwise a v.good act, managed to get the crowds attension and keep it till the end of thier set! well done!

judging by the age group of the crowd who had come to see the main event,it was quite clear that the love for Manchesters finest has not yet died!To my surprise they came onstage to a sampled intro to "primal screams"gig? once the pretend Mani kicked in with the intro to'i wanna be adored' we new we were in for somthing special! One after the other the memorys came flooding back"baggy in the area".The opening song lifted the crowd, and there they kept us there. oooh we were jumping about like nutters trying to re-capture our long lost youth.

The band did well to look the part, the singer,i thought looked like a cross between Roger Daltry/Noal Gallager, but did have a better 'live voice' than 'king monkey' himself! The only downer in my mind was they only played 1 trck off the 2nd coming, wich in my opionon is very under-rated. Ending on a high note with "i am the rezurection" was fantastic! Getting up the next day for work i dug out me Stone roses cd's and enjoyed life again!
