This is going to be the best local band you will see in a long time, and this even excluding my own (idio

). This two-piece constists of a humourous lead singer and a quieter drummer, both from Dumfries who play what can only be described as rock, pure and simple. You might say "A drummer and a singer with a guitar, white stripes wannabes" and you would deserve a slap ... and a hard one at that. I think Jack would love to have the lead singers humour and sorry but Meg wins in the drummer battle (i am hetrosexual after all). Sorry guys i know one of you is called Neil but i can't remember the other one's name and i daren't take at a stab at who is who so back to the music. Mexico are a cross between Tenacious D and Rage Against the Machine ... an odd mix i hear you say, and your correct, Mexico can be described perfectly as an "Odd Mix". They do drop in covers of Rage into their set which is impressive for a two peice, i haven't seen anyone try that, even Ill Funk !!! (If you don't know Ill Funk shame on you). Everyone should at least see Mexico once even purely for the song "Bread Deamon" which can only be appreciated if seen live first. Mexico - A Must See.
