Ex Machina plus support 10 Days Before, Aikmans Bar, St Andrews
Review by Alan McKenzie
A free gig was advertised and a free gig was delivered. Aikmans Bar is a relatively small one and this didnt help the fact that there was loads of people here and movement and vision was greatly impared but thats not the point, to the bands. Ten Days Before played a fairly strong set blasting out their power chords and poppy riffs and hooks like there was no tomorrow, the crowd gathered here for the show recieved this trio well. Much better than their recent performance in Cupars' Haugh Park. Its true that these young pop punkers are getting better and as time goes on im sure that they will gain more and more respect. Then, almost straight after TDB, Ex Machina took to the "stage" and delivered the performance that it seems every one was here to see. Opening with the first of many covers merged into their set, EM saw no challenge in entertaing the crowd in a way that only they could. With corny jokes and powerfull songs. All this and i stayed sober because i couldnt be arsed to push my way to the bar more than once. Good show boys (and girls!).
