Battle Royale 2

i dont know if any of u have seen the first one or interested in the second one but they both kick some major ass, the second one is a contrast to the first in which it is the aduilts that are out to cause the pain between the children and not just the children. well worth the buy.

I've not seen the first one yet despite having the chance on several occasions. Can you still get the first one on tape or DVD?

thanks its good to have alife again, and yes you can still get it on DVD and possibly video, tartan extreme released it, im sure play will have it or amazon, well worth buying thou its a classic, the second one though id only rent it.

it all depends on wat ur tastes are, if ur willing to let the first one get into ur head then u will like the second one, if u look at both of them as two diff things u will not understand the second one

i had been waiting on the second one coming out for two years, and was alittle dissappointed with it, it was still decent but considering teh director died not even half way through filming and his son took over it was always gonna be quite different.

You can get it in dundee, look in FOPP and HMV, they both had it last time i looked, i think it was Â£20 special edition tho.

The first film kicks ass, i think its great, havent seen the second yet tho

I haven't seen the second one yet.. But it has bad reviews from what I've heard. :/ And Battle Royale the movie was also quite disappointing because I'd read the book beforehand and there's so much details missed out! Like when Mitsuko tries to seduce one of the pupils and pulls a razorblade from her pants.. [along with confusing his friend by saying he tried to rape her] :haha: Anyways, read the book!! And Kiriyama didn't sign up for it! :/

meh. the second one didn't do anything for me. the first hour is completely overacted and ludicrous, and the rest is just cheesy as fuck! here's an example:

teen jap gets shot
other teen jap: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! takeshimaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
dying teen jap: you've got to....keep fighting....till the end....
teen jap dies

some explosions. more gunfire. sad music

teen jap gets shot
other teen jap: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! shinjiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!
dying teen jap: tell misuki i love her.....you were always...my friend...
teen jap dies

some explosions. more gunfire. sad music

3 minute speech about fighting for what you believe in

teen jap gets shot
other teen jap: NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! toshiroooooooooooo!!!!
dying teen jap: i....die....like a real man....i did it for you ryoko....i....love....y.....
teen jap dies

repeat till end of film.

plus, even though it was probably a lot bloodier than the first film, the violence doesn't actually have all that much impact. when somebody got killed in BR, it was usually pretty visceral. some of the stuff in BR2, especially the CG blood when the collars go off, just looks false.

the first one is the only one i have seen. i thought it was awesome.

pete it was overacted ect but thats what made it as good as it is! he he!

I was really looking forward to seeing the 2nd one but recent feedback has led me to believe I'll be disappointed. We shall see - I'm hoping the library has it in by next Friday
