I'd definitely agree in that 'Blackened Sky' is my favourite album by them but since the Moshulu gig the other two are really growing on me. I like albums that you grow to love forever rather than instantly love and then get a bit sick of after too many listens

Hey there sports fans

there woz a time not too long ago when Biffy were just gods, absolute legends to me, they were just it all!! but Vertigo of Bliss came out, Biffy will never write another Blackened Sky, just an amazing album, where every song compels into one long amazing listen, Vertigo of Bliss consisting of "lets do just weird chords, & weird sounding songs, instead of writing just amazing songs lets do this weird twangy guitar hitting sound that sounds dodgy" It just seems like they took a more fugazi ish turn & a more turn of writing werid guitar stuff.

in my opinion Sunny Day Real Estate are 10 times better, if it wasnt for them Biffy wouldnt be the way they are at all, Sunny Day Real Estate totally invented that sound, there one of Biffy's fave & most inspiring bands & Si has actually taken there stuff in so much, for example Biffy have 27 & 57, Sunny Day Real Estate have a song called 47, lol, & there's hope for an angel, "Song About An Angel" & Hero management sounds exactly like song about an angel, I'd say there a DEFINATLY for any die hard Biffy fan. the Album "Diary". songs I'd recomend you download are

1. In Circles
2. Seven
3. 48 (yes there's also a song caled 48 aswell as 47)
4. The Ocean
5. Rain Song
6. Song About An Angel
7.One

Theyr just keeping things a bit more involved - artistic if you like. Blackened Sky was good but gets boring quickly and some of the songs get a bit cheesey. The more crazy and weird a song is the better as you listen to it for longer.

I like all the songs you mentioned and SDRE are a definite influence on a lot of bands about these days but I still prefer Biffy to them. More 'bite' methinks

Which always results in moaning about selling out as we've seen many times before with Radiohead as my main example.
