Cipher System – Central Tunnel 8

Cipher System – Central Tunnel 8

Another one from Lifeforce Records. This time a band with an all out metal record, with masses of melody. Taking the sound of the old Scandinavian death/thrash bands and mixing it with some Euro-Metal style atmospheric synths, but holding back on the bombast employed by other bands occupying this genre (Children of Bodom). For the most part the songs are memorable with some great tunes, but as with a lot of these albums everything starts to sound the same after about 5 or 6 tracks.

Still worth a look if you’re very into hearing synths in your metal.
