Arkangel - Hope You Die By Overdose

One of European Hardcore's most talked about bands, often for the wrong reasons, thankfully my only personal gripe is the length of time taken between the release of their first album and this one.

A distinct progression has been made in the playing and writing skills of the musicians, whilst the singers voice remains solid despite claims to the contrary. Much of the ideas on here are standard fare for metalcore bands there days, so originality isn't really worthy of a mention, but despite the heard it all before tunes, plenty of them stand out.

Album closer, is different though, i found it to be one of the most sinister songs i've heard in a long time, based solely on its atmosphere. Great tunes, clever beatdowns, a fine all round album.
