Well a long awaited return for Shatterhand to Keighley, one of the best line ups locally ive seen and heard for a while, and a lot agreed with me.
First up was 'White Vest' (
http://www.whitevest.tk) a local hardcore band, they had great potentail, but seem to lack practice. There music was along the lines of (Black Flag and Minor Threat). Not my cuppa at all, but id glady go see them again, as they where fairly enjoyable, and will be much better with a bit more experince under them.
Next up was 'The Dangerfields' (
http://www.thedangerfields.com), very punk to me, and was a supris to see such a tight band, with a singing drummer, who was fecking ace (and they where irish!) They said they would glady come back, and we'd glady have them. Rock n Roll in its best at punk
Local Bradford band 'Reeved' (
http://www.reeved.co.uk), a singer down due to illness, catchy heavy rock nearly at its best. A great stage show as usual, with crowd members helping out with the singing duties. My favourite is the one that stats 'I lose control....' I just cant remeber the name at the moment. A nice refresment from all the punk of the night!
Last up was the amazing 'Shatterhand' (
http://www.shatterhand.co.uk) and as usual, caught everyones attention on there 4th return to the area. Fast catchy punk rock, with very powerful vocals and great stage presense. If there in your kneck of the woods, go see them. And get very pished with them, its great fun!
All in all, a damn good night. And a good gig ive been to in a while, to say i was organsing it, doing the door and DJing. I had a ace night.
And if you read this
Cheers
Hobo
