The Leather EP from, Dundee based female fronted punk rock band, Trash Superstar provides three very catchy and instantly likeable tunes, 2 new tracks and a cover of the Runaways "Cherry Bomb". The cover comes of marvelously.
The band travelled down to London to record this and the results have made the effort worth while. Sound quality is excellent and the vocals are great.
Trash Superstar's fiesty female vocalist, Becca, comes across as a bit intimidating in the tracks but thats a good thing in my opinion and a core aspect of punk music, the in-your-face screaming vocals coupled with a Scottish accent (though only really noticeable in Rock N Roll) make it a charged affair. I loves it, definately on a 'mission to make some noise'.
This is an approachable EP to those just coming into the punk genre, a nice wee gem from a local outfit.
