Friday September 8 was an important date for Westport Bar of Dundee. This town of Scotland where the metal is so present, holds two bars metal located in the downtown area, with 150 meters of the university where I currently make my studies. But it is Westport which was served this night! On the second floor of the bar, the public awaited impatiently the four formations which were going to put fire at the city. Do the name of these groups, you say to me? Eh well, not very known, even at all so that I know. There were Slit, Man Must Die, Hellbound and Vulsellum. These names did not say anything at the beginning to me but I can say to you that after having seen them, I retained their name well! The concert started at 8 p.m. 45 with Vulsellum, formation Scottish of death melody originating in the town of Dundee even. The group balanced us five rather short songs and I can say to you that it was good! Their death is technical, melody with a no-claims bonus for the singer which alternated very well vocal death and clear song. They played in residence, they did not have right to the error and they left my faith well there. However, a weak part of the public had gathered vis-a-vis with them and it was very static, even motionless. That moved... Etrange very little... Then, it was the turn of Hellbound, groups Scottish and also originating in Dundee. And from there, all changed! All the public had gathered and as soon as the group played its first notes, the pogo was launched! The fans were unchained and that headbangais on all the sides! Music? It is simple, Hellbound proposes a mixture of power metal in the vein of brutal Pantera and death. In short, a pure butchery! The solos of guitar were very effective and Sean Nunes has an impressive voice. How does it make to howl like one damné during also a long time? At one time, the public stressed some words pronounced by Sean but I do not know what that wanted to say. Too bad! There was right to a more intense environment with Man Must Die, "butchers" shelled originating in the town of Glasgow. This combo, which continues its round in the United Kingdom with Slit, had not come here to make figuration. Playing a death metal at the same time powerful and technical, Man Must Die delivers us a very good service. During this time, the "rabble" was excited more and more, the beer bottles were crushed against the ground and the singer did not hesitate to suspend himself over the iron bars supporting the spots, while pouring his vociferations gutturales. A slaughter, I say to you! Then, comes the hour from truth. The group more awaited will make irruption in ten minutes. This group, it is Slit: formation originating in the island of Malta playing a thrash metal ō how much brutal. According to what the fans said to me, Slit is known for its very intense shows and will play of the titles extracted from their new album "Ode to Silence" left to Anticulture Records. And one is not disappointed! Their service on scene is excellent and that gives me desire well for throwing an ear on the new album. Side of the rabble: it is chaos! The fans are unchained with the possible one, the beer bottles fuse on the right and on the left and the scuffles are done more violent. But the strong moment in the concert arrives when the Frank singer asks whether there are still time to play another song. The fans answer him by stressing the name: "Slit, Slit, Slit..." Then, it asks the public to be divided into two parts, such two armies which will clash on a battle field, and to await the countdown. Three... Two... One... Aargh! At this time there, the two groups brutally sink one against the other and this throughout all title last, until the end in the concert, at midnight. What it was good, boudiou! This concert intense, was sprinkled, spectacular and emotional. The echo of the pogos was heard! More than three hours of brutality, drinking bout and good thrash/death metal. Slit and their comparses Scottish definitely put fire at Dundee this night! Unforgettable! To react in this article?

Nice review! I never spoke to the French guy unfortunately. A few vids from M.M.D's set have been posted up on YouTube, I notice a few familiar faces in the crowd. See if your puss is there..
