am reading a book just now called 'Reasons to be chearful' by Mark Steel, the guy is a comedy genious!

the book starts with:

"The people i find most infuriating are the perenially miserable:the sort who say 'just my luck' or 'story of my life, that is'. I feel like saying to them, 'look,if you are a Hutu from Rwanda who accidentally strolls into a Tutsi warrior camp, then you are entitled to go "Huh, just my luck, story of my life." But if you've gone down the shops for a packet of biscuits and they've run out of your favourite sort, shut the fuck up and put up with it!"

im only abot 3 chapters in and im already trying to get everyone to read it cuz its so good, even if you dont agree with his views its still worth reading just for the humour.

he writes a column in the Independent and makes documenteries for the BBC.my politics teacher used to live next to him when she was a student in Nottingham and says he was a total scream.

im probably just blethering anyway, but i think the guy is great so thought i would share it with you guys, i recomend picking up a copy of one of his books or reading his column sometime if your interested in that sort of thing.

anyway thats enough of that, i away back to my book.

Micheal Moore is irritating me now, he claims to be some man of the people but his dvds are overpriced and have no extras, his books always come out in hardback first so his die-hard fans, which i used to be, have to shell out £10 instead of £5 to read his new book and.....

bah i still love the guy.

as for Mark Steel, never read anything but i might now.
